What are Custom Fields? Custom Fields allow you to expand the functionality of ChurchInfo beyond the base information that can be stored as a default. Custom fields allow you to personalize the database to meet your specific needs. Custom fields can be added to individuals and to groups. For individuals, you could, for example, have a custom field that shows an individual's mentor. For groups, you could have a start and stop date for a group of ushers.

You can import data from a comma-separated value (.csv) file. Every line in this file must contain information about one person. Family relationships are inferred by matching up the last name and address. The “CSV Import” feature is in the Admin menu. What is a Note? A Note is just a miscellaneous memo assigned to a Person or Family record. Any User with the Notes permission can add a Note, and as many Notes as desired can be added to a Person or Family record. Notes can be public, meaning every User can see them, or private, meaning only the User who authored the Note can read it on subsequent views of the Person or Family record. Notes can be deleted or edited as desired.

What is a "Person" A person is an individual associated with the church. Person records can be grouped together into Families, can belong to one or more Groups, can have Properties, and can be made Users of ChurchInfo. A Person has individual contact information, such as a cell phone number and an email address. A Person also has a relationship with the church as “Member”, or “Guest”.
